1–2 Weeks Before
Tight but possible. We need both partners’ details immediately. Signing must happen within days. Contact us directly.
Less Than a Week
Extremely tight. Call us immediately. Depends on Deeds Office availability and how quickly both partners can sign.
The Wedding Is Tomorrow
In most cases too late for registration. However, the contract can still be signed and lodged — contact us to discuss.
What We Need From You — Right Now
- Both partners’ full names (as per ID documents)
- Both partners’ ID numbers
- Your wedding date
- Your preference: accrual or no accrual (not sure? we’ll advise quickly)
- Both partners must be available to sign within the next few days
Why You Shouldn’t Skip It
Some couples think: “We’ll sort it out after the wedding.” But changing your marriage regime afterwards requires a High Court application, costs R15,000–R25,000, and takes 3–5 months.
An urgent prenup before the wedding costs R1,950 (plus any applicable urgent fees) and takes days.
Even a last-minute prenup is dramatically better than no prenup.
